Hidden Apples

Sunday was a bright sunny day in Grand Rapids (although it was COLD), so Jon and I went hiking after church. There is a mountain bike trail near the church that obviously isn't being used in the winter, so we decided to do a short hike.

Little did we know, we'd find all the discarded apples from Robinette's!  (they have apple orchards, a winery, and the most delicious donuts there.  It's the place to be in the Fall.)

Mountains of apples:

Apparently this is where they put all the "bad apples" at the end of the season.  As you can see, Jon picked one up to investigate it, but they were frozen and soft.  And, it would be gross to take them from a big pile of moldy apples.  But it was a good find on an afternoon hike.

  1. They don't look that bad. They should've been fed to horses!
